Kenya Bus Service Management Ltd (“KBSM Ltd”) runs a registered insurance agency in the name and style of ABIRIA INSURANCE AGENCY (“Agency”). The Agency takes charge of insurance matters including taking out of insurance covers on behalf of our franchisees, individuals and institutions.

The Agency runs a fully established office in our main Depot situated at Riruta in Kawangware. The Agency does not limit its services to motor policies for motor vehicles only but offers services in respect of other insurance covers including medical and other general covers. Therefore, the Agency is open to potential customers and corporates desirous of taking out policies offered by insurers in the market.

The Agency has partnered with main players in the insurance industry namely Gateway Insurance, First Assurance, Madison Insurance, AMACO, CIC Insurance and INVESCO . The Agency is negotiating with other insurers in order to reach out and attract more clients to secure insurance covers through the Agency, diversify its services in terms of covers on offer and increase its market share as an Agency of choice.

The significant benefit of securing insurance covers through the Agency is the availability of facilitation for payment of bulk premiums through premium financing organized in partnership with insurers through the latter’s financing partners. The Agency conducts investigation into accidents involving the insured property (especially motor vehicle accidents) for clients who secure their insurance cover through it and avails to the client, at a small fee, a professional and comprehensive accident investigation report. For such benefit to accrue, the Agency requires that the client (the insured) reports ALL accidents. Additionally, the Agency offers a token of appreciation as an incentive to loyal individuals and clients who channel their business through the Agency.
