For an organization to attract qualified and suitable entrants it must reflect both internally and externally a strong, efficient and effective manpower. Moreover our country being one which is developing organization keeps changing resulting to changes in demand, goals and set standards. To achieve this, the HRM keep reviewing the recruitment procedure and minimum qualifications for various jobs as continuous process.
For better productivity the best qualified candidates among the applicants must be selected during recruitment. To achieve this minimum qualifications of different categories of staff are analyzed and set by HRM. Whenever there arise a need to recruit either internally or externally the required qualifications are clearly spelt on the advertisement so as to discourage those not meeting the standards from applying and for purposes of encouraging qualified applicants. The following steps are followed:-
- Analyzing the required minimum qualifications in terms of education, profession, age and experience.
- HRM in consultation with the HOD in need of extra manpower analyses the requirement.
An advertisement is placed either internally or externally stating the requirements
