Kenya Bus Service Management Ltd is a leading Top 100 Mid-Sized Transport Management Company that employs a vehicle franchising model to enable vehicle owners provide Public Passenger Services, such as, commuter transport, private and contract hire and transit advertising.

The Company also provides Commercialized Services, such as, motor vehicle repair, sale of motor vehicle spares, fuel and lubricants, driver training, staffing agency, mobile money, insurance and accident investigation agency, transport consultancy and research, among others.

The Company is looking for suitable persons to fill the positions below.


1.Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will have the following Key duties and responsibilities; Take a leading role in the development of new business opportunities that support the Company’s overall Strategic growth. Work closely with Sales and Services Department to achieve established sales goals. Implement business development initiatives that maximize growth. Drive the development of Innovation and Technology (i.e. re-engineering the business). Development and growth of the Insurance and Accident Investigation Agencies. Set up and oversee the development of banking agencies. Set up and oversee business growth in the Transport Consultancy and Research Services. Drive and oversee the implementation of an Automatic Fare Collection System. Drive the implementation of the Company’s Strategic Plan 2016/202 Inculcate innovation and technology in Company operations.

Qualifications and Key Competencies;

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing. Ability to innovate and apply technology. 5 years’ relevant work experience in similar position. A thorough understanding of the market dynamics. An experience in Starting-up businesses. Excellent inter- personal relations. An MBA degree will be an added advantage.

2. Training Officer

Reporting to Human Resource Manager, the Training Officer will have the following key duties and responsibilit Manage the Training Centre profitability. In charge of driving school’s growth and profitability. Preparation and management of Training Centre budget. Development and implementation of the company’s training and development programs. Ensure training center compliance. Manage school certificates. Keep and maintain Training Centre’s records. In charge of training school tools and vehicles.

Qualifications and Key Competencies;

Bachelor of Arts in Education or related field. Diploma in Business Management will be an added advantage. Specialized Training/Professional Qualifications. Trainer of Trainees (TOT) is a plus. At least three (3) years relevant work experience in a similar position.

3. Service Advisor

Reporting to Fleet Manager, the Service Advisor will have the following key duties and responsibilities; In charge of coordinating activities in the workshop. Carry out motor vehicle diagnosis. Provide quotations for motor vehicle repairs. Prepare service plan for all vehicles. Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle. Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned. Preparation of job cards. Keep and updating fleet master files. Follow up customers’ complaints.

Qualifications and Key Competencies;

Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (automotive option). At least two years’ experience in motor vehicle workshop. Good communication skills. Proven selling skills.
